Fintura Zoho integration

Invoice approved time out of Fintura into Zoho Books, and see a detailed payment state come back on every one.

What is the Fintura Zoho integration?

Fintura connects to Zoho Books, the ledger in the Zoho suite, so a firm can bill approved time out of Fintura and follow what happens to the invoice afterwards. Zoho Books sends back a detailed payment state: paid, partial, overdue, viewed, sent or open.

Where a Zoho account holds several organisations, a picker appears at connect and the connection stays pending until one is chosen, with each connection carrying its own Zoho data centre region.

What syncs, and in which direction

Every row is what the Zoho connection does today.

What syncs between Fintura and Zoho, in which direction, when it happens, and what happens.

How you would use it

  1. Connect from Billing

Billing, then Integrations, then Connect Zoho. You authorise the connection from your own Zoho account.

  2. Pick the organisation

Where the Zoho account holds several organisations, a picker appears and the connection stays pending until you choose which organisation it covers.

  3. Review the contact matches

Fintura matches Zoho Books contacts to your clients. Close matches are saved for you and looser ones wait for you to confirm them.

  4. Bill approved time and follow the invoice

Mark time entries ready, build the invoice, check the lines and tax rates, then push. It arrives approved and awaiting payment, and on your next sync the state comes back as paid, partial, overdue, viewed, sent or open.

What it does not do

  • Does not appear on every workspace. The ledger connections live on the Billing page, which is part of practice management rather than something every plan carries.
  • Does not finish connecting until you pick an organisation. Where a Zoho account holds several, the connection sits pending until one is chosen.
  • Does not push invoices as drafts. They arrive in Zoho Books approved and awaiting payment.
  • Does not update on its own. Status refreshes when you open Invoice History or click Sync, so a payment recorded in Zoho Books reaches Fintura on your next sync.
  • Does not pull invoices older than the last 90 days when you first connect.
  • Does not sync bills or expenses.
  • Does not reach the wider Zoho suite. The ledger connection is to Zoho Books, and nothing else in Zoho is read or written.
  • Cannot run alongside a different ledger. Connecting Xero, Sage or QuickBooks deactivates Zoho, and Fintura asks you to confirm before it does.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

What South African firms ask about Zoho in Fintura.

Zoho Books, the accounting ledger in the Zoho suite. Invoices, estimates and recurring invoices push across to it, and contacts, accounts, tax rates and payment status come back. Nothing else in Zoho is part of the connection.

Yes. Invoices, estimates and recurring invoices go from Fintura to Zoho Books, and contacts, accounts, tax rates and invoice status come back. Bills and expenses are not pulled across, so Zoho Books stays the record for those.

Yes. A workspace can hold several Zoho organisations. Where your Zoho account contains more than one, a picker appears at connect and the connection stays pending until you choose which organisation it covers. Each connection carries the Zoho data centre region that organisation sits in.

No. A workspace runs one ledger, so connecting Xero, Sage or QuickBooks deactivates the Zoho connection, and Fintura asks you to confirm before it does. Several Zoho organisations can still run side by side.

Paid, partial, overdue, viewed, sent and open. A part-settled invoice reads as partial rather than unpaid, which is the same range QuickBooks reports and wider than Xero or Sage gives back. Status refreshes when you next open Invoice History or click Sync.
